Perhaps the most sacred of all tables is actually a tray, brought to the bedside of a new mother, laden with nutrient dense, warming and revitalizing nourishment by one who understands the delicacy and preciousness of this most divine moment. There is no time more critical to ensure a body receives what it needs to heal and replenish. A postpartum mother and her baby are vulnerable to a host of challenges when NOT nutritionally fortified, and are most incredibly advantaged when the simple yet vital role of RIGHT food is prioritized and served with love. 

Postpartum care is deeply close to my heart and truly my passion manifest in the form of using food for healing. Drawing on a decade long journey in nutritional studies and enthusiasm for tending to a sacred container, I see nourishing new families as an absolute investment in the future. When a new mother is cared for, her needs for rest and nurture met with the support of loving hands, she is able to best tend to her new little one. This in turn fosters the tender bonding of mother baby while allowing the postpartum body to rest and recover for its longterm health. A new mother need not spend her energy concerned with the task of her own nourishment but trust that she is being served what warms her soul as well as her bones. These are the building blocks of a strong healthy baby and a collective energy of peace in time of massive transition. It is my greatest honor to be the tender hands that prepare and serve that nourishment in service to the new family as a whole. 

I encourage couples to consider adding these services to a Baby Registry or requesting this support from family that cannot be present in the immediate postpartum. It’s imperative to receive in home care during this time and of the many of things to consider while preparing for the arrival of a new baby, my deepest hope is that proper nourishment for healing is top of the list.
